Q. Q. 2 تَعَفْرَتَ ذ He became, or acted like, an عِفْرِيت; (K, TA;) from which latter word this verb is derived, the [final] augmentative letter being preserved in it, with the radical letters, to convey the full meaning, and to indicate the original. (TA.)
