عصف

4 أَعْصَفَ see 1, in five places. ― -b2- اعصف (said of a man, S, O) He died, or perished. (S, O, K.) ― -b3- And He (a man) deviated, declined, or wandered, from the road, or way. (TA.) ― -b4- اعصفت الاـِبِلُ The camels went round about the well, eager for the water, raising the the dust, (En-Nadr, O, K,) and spreading it, around. (En-Nadr, O.) -A2- اعصف الزَّرْعُ The corn, or seed-produce, put forth its عَصْف [q. v.]: (S, * O, K:) or its عَصْف became long: or it attained to the time for its being cut, or clipped. (TA. [See 1, last sentence.])
