عرك

مَاآءٌ مَعْرُوكٌ ذ Water to which there is a pressing or crowding together [ of camels ]. (S, O, K.) ― -b2- أَرْضٌ مَعْرُوكَةٌ Land which the cattle (S, O, K) pasturing at their pleasure (S, O) have rubbed and pressed [ with their feet ] (عَرَكَتْهَا) so that it has become barren. (S, O, K.) ― -b3- And رَجُلٌ مَعْرُوكٌ (tropical:) A man pressed with petitions. (TA.)
