ضَعْضَعَةٌ ذ inf. n. of ضَعْضَعَهُ [q. v.]. (TK.) ― -b2- And [as though inf. n. of ضُعْضِعَ] Lowliness, humility, or submissiveness: (TA, and Ham p. 369:) [as used in the present day, a state of depression; languor; weakness; and poverty: ] and hardship, or adversity. (TA.)
