مُضْرِبٌ ذ [part. n. of أَضْرَبَ, q. v.]. You say, رَأَيْتُ حَيَّةً مُضْرِبًا (S, TA) and مُضْرِبَةً (TA) (tropical:) I saw a serpent still, not moving. (S, TA.)
