8 اِضْطَجَعَ ذ , and its vars. اِضَّجَعَ and اِلْطَجَعَ: see 1, first sentence. ― -b2- الاِضْطِجَاعُ فِى السُّجُودِ is (tropical:) The not drawing up the body from the ground in prostration [in prayer]; (Mgh, TA;) the contracting oneself, and making the breast to cleave to the ground, therein.
