ضجع

4 أَضْجَعْتُهُ ذ , (S, Msb, K,) inf. n. اـِضْجَاعٌ, (TA,) I laid him upon his side; (S, * Msb;) I laid his side upon the ground. (K.) ― -b2- And (tropical:) I lowered it, or depressed it, namely, a thing. (K, TA.) ― -b3- اضجع الرُّمْحُ الطَّعْنَ (tropical:) [app. The spear made the thrusting to be in a downward direction ]. (TA.) ― -b4- اضجع جُوَالِقَهُ (assumed tropical:) He emptied his sack, it being full. (O, K.) ― -b5- الاـِضْجَاعُ in relation to the vowel-sounds is (tropical:) like الاـِمَالَةُ and الخَفْضُ.
