اخذ

أَخِيذٌ ذ i. q. ↓ مَأْخُوذٌ [ Taken; taken with the hand; &c.]. (Msb.) ― -b2- A captive: (S, L, Msb, K:) fem. with ة. (S, L.) Hence the saying, أَكْذَبُ مِنْ أَخِيذِ الجَيشِ More lying than the captive of the army: meaning him whom his enemies have taken captive, and whom they desire to conduct them to his people, and who lies to them to his utmost.
