8 اـِاْتَجَ3َ see 1. ― -b2- [Hence,] ائتجّ النَّهَارُ [written with the disjunctive alif اِيْتَجَّ] The day was, or became, intensely hot, or fiercely burning; (S, K;) as also ↓ تَأَجَّ and تأجّج. (K.)
