شوى

شِىٌّ ذ is originally شِوْىٌ. (ISd, TA.) One says, جَاآءَ بِالعِىِّ وَالشِّىِّ, (S, K,) using the latter noun as an imitative sequent to the former [for the purpose of corroboration: see art. عى]. (TA.)
