شمل

5 تشمّل بِالشَّمْلَةِ ذ , [and تشمّل الشَّمْلَةَ, (see 5 in art. درس,)] inf. n. تَشَمُّلٌ and ↓ تَشْمِيلٌ; (K;) the former reg.; the latter, which is mentioned by Lh, irreg., an instance like that in the saying [in the Kur lxxiii. 8], وَتَبَتَّلْ اـِلَيْهِ تَبْتِيلًا; (TA;) He covered himself with the شَمْلَة [q. v.].
