6 تشاكسوا ذ They treated, or behaved towards, one another with hardness, harshness, or illnature; or disagreed, one with another; in buying or selling: (IDrd, O, TA:) or they treated, or behaved towards, one another with contrariety, or opposition. (K, * TA.) [Hence,] اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ يَتَشَاكَسَانِ (tropical:) The night and the day are opposed to each other: (TA:) or alternate. (Az, A, O, TA.)
