مَشْفُوعٌ ذ A possession (مِلْكٌ [here meaning house, or piece of land,]) coupled [ by purchase ] with a man's possession [previously belonging to him, upon certain conditions expl. voce شُفْعَةٌ]. (Mgh, Msb.) -A2- Also Affected with diabolical, or demoniacal, possession; or with madness, or insanity; (O, K;) and مَسْفُوعٌ, with the unpointed س, is a dial. var. thereof. (TA.) ― -b2- And مَشْفُوعَةٌ is said to signify A woman smitten by the [ evil ] eye: (IF, O, L: [but see شُفْعَةٌ, last sentence:]) the masc. is not used in this sense. (L, TA.)
