شغزب

Q. 1 شَغْزَبَهُ ذ , inf. n. شَغْزَبَةٌ, He threw him down by the trick called شَغْزَبِيَّة, expl. below; (S, K;) and شَغْرَبَهُ signifies the same. (AZ, TA.) Accord. to IAth, the primary meaning of شَغْزَبَةٌ is A twisting, in a neuter sense; and artifice. (TA.) ― -b2- Also He took him, or seized him, violently. (K.)
