شعف

[ شُعَيْفَةٌ ذ dim. of شَعَفَةٌ: pl. شُعَيْفَاتٌ.] One says, مَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ اـِلَّا شُعَيْفَاتٌ There is not upon his head aught save some small hairs of the [ pendent lock of hair termed ] ذُؤَابَة. (S, O, K.)
