شُرْبَةٌ ذ , (K,) or شُرْبَةٌ مِنْ مَاآءٍ, (S,) The quantity of water that satisfies thirst. (S, K.) ― -b2- شُرْبَةٌ is also syn. with ↓ اـِشْرَابٌ [originally an inf. n.] meaning (assumed tropical:) A colour tinged over with another colour; as in the saying, فِيهِ شُرْبَةٌ مِنْ حُمْرَةٍ (assumed tropical:) [ In him is a colour tinged with redness ]: (S, TA:) [and] (tropical:) somewhat of redness; as in the phrase, فِيهِ شُرْبَةٌ (tropical:) [ In him is somewhat of redness ]: (A:) or (assumed tropical:) a redness in the face: (K:) or (assumed tropical:) whiteness mixed with redness.
