شبك

شُبَّاكَةٌ ذ , (S, O, KL,) or ↓ شُبَّاكٌ, (Msb, TA,) A thing formed of grating, or lattice-work, (↓ مَشْبَكَةٌ, S, O, or مُشَبَّكٌ, KL, TA,) or iron, (S, O, Msb, K, TA,) and of other material [i. e. of wood &c.]: (TA:) and [particularly] a window so formed: (KL:) pl. شَبَابِيكُ. (S, O, TA.) One says, رَأَيْتُهُ ↓ يَنْظُرُ مِنَ الشُّبَّاكِ [ I saw him looking from the grated, or latticed, window ]. (TA.) ― -b2- See also شِبَاكٌ.
