(TA.) -A2- [It is also a pl., of which the sing., if used, is probably ↓ شَابِكٌ, accord. to analogy; as a possessive epithet, meaning ذُو شَبَكَةٍ, like لَابِنٌ meaning ذُو لَبَنٍ, &c.:] one says, رَأَيْتُ عَلَى المَاآءِ الشُّبَّاكَ I saw, upon the water, the fishermen with the nets.
