وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: يَخْرُجُ الدَّجَّالُ فِي أُمَّتِي فَيَمْكُثُ أَرْبَعِينَ، لَا أَدْرِي أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ شَهْرًا، أَوْ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا، فَيَبْعَثُ اللهُ تَعَالَى عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ﷺ فَيَطْلُبُهُ فَيُهْلِكُهُ، ثُمَّ يَمْكُثُ النَّاسُ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ لَيْسَ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ عَدَاوَةٌ، ثُمَّ يُرْسِلُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ رِيحًا بَارِدَةً مِنْ قِبَلِ الشَّامِ، فَلَا يَبْقَى عَلَى وَجْهِ الْأَرْضِ أَحَدٌ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ خَيْرٍ أَوْ إِيمَانٍ إِلَّا قَبَضَتْهُ، حَتَّى لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ دَخَلَ فِي كَبِدِ جَبَلٍ، لَدَخَلَتْهُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى تَقْبِضَهُ، فَيَبْقَى شِرَارُ النَّاسِ فِي خِفَّةِ الطَّيْرِ، وَأَحْلَامِ السِّبَاعِ، لَا يَعْرِفُونَ مَعْرُوفًا، وَلَا يُنْكِرُونَ مُنْكَرًا، فَيَتَمَثَّلُ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ، فَيَقُولُ: أَلَا تَسْتَجِيبُونَ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ: فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ فَيَأْمُرُهُمْ بِعِبَادَةِ الْأَوْثَانِ، وَهُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ دَارٌّ رِزْقُهُمْ، حَسَنٌ عَيْشُهُمْ، ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ، فَلَا يَسْمَعُهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا أَصْغَى لِيتًا وَرَفَعَ لِيتًا، وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يَسْمَعُهُ رَجُلٌ يَلُوطُ حَوْضَ إِبِلِهِ فَيُصْعَقُ وَيُصْعَقُ النَّاسُ، ثُمَّ يُرْسِلُ اللهُ أَوْ قَالَ: يُنْزِلُ اللهُ مَطَرًا كَأَنَّهُ الطَّلُّ أَوِ الظِّلُّ، فَتَنْبُتُ مِنْهُ أَجْسَادُ النَّاسِ، ثُمَّ يُنْفَخُ أُخْرَى فَإِذَا هُمْ قِيَامٌ يَنْظُرُونَ، ثُمَّ يُقَالُ: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ هَلُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ، وَقِفُوهُمْ إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ، ثُمَّ يُقَالُ: أَخْرِجُوا بَعْثَ النَّارِ فَيُقَالُ: مِنْ كَمْ؟ فَيُقَالُ: مِنْ كُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعَ مِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ؛ فَذَلِكَ يَوْمٌ يَجْعَلُ الْوِلْدَانَ شِيبًا، وَذَلِكَ يَوْمُ يُكْشَفُ عَنْ سَاقٍ.

1810 - Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The Dajjal will emerge within my nation and remain for forty—I do not know if he meant forty days, forty months, or forty years. Then Allah the Exalted will send Jesus, son of Mary (peace be upon him), who will pursue and destroy him. People will then live for seven years with no enmity between any two of them. Following this, Allah the Mighty and Majestic will send a cold wind from the direction of Syria. It will take the soul of everyone on earth who possesses even an atom's weight of goodness or faith. Even if one of you were to hide deep inside a mountain, the wind would reach you and take your soul. Only the worst of people will remain, as flighty as birds and as savage as beasts. They will neither recognize good nor reject evil. Satan will then appear to them and ask, 'Will you not follow me?' They will ask, 'What do you command us?' He will command them to worship idols, all while they enjoy abundant provisions and a comfortable life. Then the Trumpet will be blown. Everyone who hears it will tilt their neck to one side. The first to hear it will be a man repairing his camel trough; he will fall unconscious, as will everyone else. Then Allah will send down rain like dew or shade, from which human bodies will sprout. The Trumpet will be blown again, and suddenly they will be standing and looking on. It will be said, 'O people, come to your Lord.' 'Detain them, for they are to be questioned.' Then it will be commanded, 'Bring out the contingent for the Fire.' It will be asked, 'From how many?' The reply will be, 'From every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine.' That is a day that will turn children gray-haired, and that is the day when the truth will be laid bare."
