شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَمَّا إِذَا جَعَلَ الْبَاءَ لِلسَّبَبِيَّةِ فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ بِاللَّهِ وَإِيمَانٌ بِالْكَوْكَبِ، ثُمَّ إِنِ اعْتَقَدَ أَنَّ الْكَوْكَبَ هُوَ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِالْمَطَرِ، فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ أَكْبَرُ مُخْرِجٌ عَنِ الْمِلَّةِ، وَإِنِ اعْتَقَدَ أَنَّ الْكَوْكَبَ سَبَبٌ وَأَنَّ الْخَالِقَ هُوَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ بِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَلَيْسَ كُفْرًا مُخْرِجًا عَنِ الْمِلَّةِ. وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ نَعْرِفُ أَنَّهُ يَنْبَغِي لِلْإِنْسَانِ إِذَا جَاءَ الْمَطَرُ أَنْ يَقُولَ: مُطِرْنَا بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَرَحْمَتِهِ. وَاللَّهُ الْمُوَفِّقُ.

شَرْحُ رِيَاضِ الصَّالِحِينَ مِنْ كَلَامِ سَيِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
An explanation of Riyad al-Salihin (The Meadows of the Righteous) from the words of the Master of the Messengers, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.
وَأَمَّا إِذَا جَعَلَ الْبَاءَ لِلسَّبَبِيَّةِ فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ بِاللَّهِ وَإِيمَانٌ بِالْكَوْكَبِ،
If one interprets the preposition 'ba' as denoting causality, this constitutes disbelief in Allah and faith in the celestial body.
ثُمَّ إِنِ اعْتَقَدَ أَنَّ الْكَوْكَبَ هُوَ الَّذِي يَأْتِي بِالْمَطَرِ، فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ أَكْبَرُ مُخْرِجٌ عَنِ الْمِلَّةِ، وَإِنِ اعْتَقَدَ أَنَّ الْكَوْكَبَ سَبَبٌ وَأَنَّ الْخَالِقَ هُوَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، فَهَذَا كُفْرٌ بِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَلَيْسَ كُفْرًا مُخْرِجًا عَنِ الْمِلَّةِ.
Should that person believe the celestial body itself brings the rain, this is major disbelief that removes one from the fold of Islam.
