قَالَ أَحْمَدُ شَوْقِي: وَالْمَرْءُ لَيْسَ بِصَادِقٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ حَتَّى يُؤَيِّدَ قَوْلَهُ بِفِعَالِهِ. وَقَالَ الْمُنْتَصِرُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ: تَحَدَّثْ بِصِدْقٍ، وَإِنْ تَحَدَّثْتَ فَلْيَكُنْ لِكُلِّ حَدِيثٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِكَ حِينٌ. وَقَالَ الْمَاوَرْدِيُّ: عَوِّدْ لِسَانَكَ قَوْلَ الصِّدْقِ تَحْظَ بِهِ، إِنَّ اللِّسَانَ لِمَا عَوَّدْتَ مُعْتَادُ. قَالَ تَعَالَى: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ. أَعُودُ لِأَحَدِ كُتُبِ التَّفْسِيرِ؛ لِأُجِيبَ عَنِ الْأَسْئِلَةِ الْآتِيَةِ: ١. مَنِ الَّذِي يَصِفُهُ اللَّهُ - سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى - بِهَذَا الْوَصْفِ؟ ٢. عَلَامَ يَدُلُّ ذِكْرُ هَذَا الْوَصْفِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ الْكَرِيمِ؟ مَاذَا يُفِيدُ وُجُودُ (إِنَّ) فِي بِدَايَةِ الْآيَةِ الْكَرِيمَةِ؟

وَالْمَرْءُ لَيْسَ بِصَادِقٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ حَتَّى يُؤَيِّدَ قَوْلَهُ بِفِعَالِهِ. وَقَالَ الْمُنْتَصِرُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ:
(from previous page) ⟵ Indeed, lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. And a man continues to lie until he is written down as a liar with Allah. And a person is not truthful in his words until his words are supported by his actions.
تَحَدَّثْ بِصِدْقٍ، وَإِنْ تَحَدَّثْتَ فَلْيَكُنْ لِكُلِّ حَدِيثٍ مِنْ حَدِيثِكَ حِينٌ. وَقَالَ الْمَاوَرْدِيُّ:
Speak the truth, and when you do, ensure there is a proper time for every word you say.
عَوِّدْ لِسَانَكَ قَوْلَ الصِّدْقِ تَحْظَ بِهِ، إِنَّ اللِّسَانَ لِمَا عَوَّدْتَ مُعْتَادُ. قَالَ تَعَالَى:
Train your tongue to speak the truth so you may reap its benefits; a tongue becomes whatever you habituate it to be.
