عَادَ صَاحِبُ الْمَنْزِلِ وَأُسْرَتُهُ، فَشَاهَدُوا سَيَّارَاتِ الْإِطْفَاءِ تُحِيطُ بِالْمَنْزِلِ. تَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِمْ صَاحِبُ الْمَنْزِلِ، وَشَكَرَهُمْ عَلَى مَا بَذَلُوهُ لِإِخْمَادِ الْحَرِيقِ. قَالَ رَجُلُ الْإِطْفَاءِ: هَذَا وَاجِبُنَا، وَإِنْ كَانَ هُنَاكَ مَنْ يَسْتَحِقُّ الشُّكْرَ، فَهُوَ جَارُكَ الصَّغِيرُ. شَكَرَ الْجَارُ فَوَّازًا عَلَى حُسْنِ تَصَرُّفِهِ، وَدَعَا اللَّهَ أَنْ يُبَارِكَ فِيهِ، وَيَحْفَظَهُ وَأُسْرَتَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكْرُوهٍ.
