الْقِراءَةُ مِنْ نَوادِرِ جُحا رَكِبَ جُحا حِمارَهُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، وَذَهَبَ إِلَى سُوقِ الْمَدِينَةِ، اشْتَرَى خُضاراً وَفَواكِهَ كَثيرَةً وَوَضَعَها فِي سَلَّةٍ كَبِيرَةٍ، ثُمَّ رَكِبَ حِمارَهُ، وَوَضَعَ السَّلَّةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ عائِداً إِلَى بَيْتِهِ مَسْروراً. وَفِي الطَّرِيقِ شَاهَدَهُ بَعْضُ الْمَارَّةِ، فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمْ لِماذَا تُنْعِبُ نَفْسَكَ يَا جُحا، وَتَحْمِلُ السَّلَّةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِكَ؟ ضَعْهَا أَمَامَكَ. قَالَ جُحا إِنَّ حِمارِي ضَعِيفٌ لَا يَقْوَى عَلَى أَنْ يَحْمِلَنِي أَنَا وَالسَّلَّةَ

ثُمَّ رَكِبَ حِمارَهُ، وَوَضَعَ السَّلَّةَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ عائِداً إِلَى بَيْتِهِ مَسْروراً.
He then climbed back onto his donkey, placed the basket on its back, and headed home in high spirits.
