صُنْدُوقُ الِابْتِكَارِ. مَرَّتِ الْمُعَلِّمَةُ بِجِوَارِ سَلْمَى، وَلَاحَظَتْ أَنَّ أَمَامَهَا مَقْلَمَةً جَمِيلَةً وَمُلَوَّنَةً، فَقَالَتْ لَهَا: مَا أَجْمَلَ هَذِهِ الْمَقْلَمَةَ يَا سَلْمَى! قَالَتْ سَلْمَى: لَقَدْ صَنَعْتُهَا مِنْ أَشْيَاءَ قَدِيمَةٍ، بِمُعَاوَنَةِ أُمِّي. طَلَبَتِ الْمُعَلِّمَةُ مِنْ سَلْمَى أَنْ تَشْرَحَ لِزُمَلَائِهَا كَيْفَ صَنَعَتْ هَذِهِ الْمَقْلَمَةَ. وَقَفَتْ سَلْمَى وَهِيَ سَعِيدَةٌ، وَبَيَّنَتْ لَهُمْ كَيْفَ اسْتَخْدَمَتْ عُلْبَةً فَارِغَةً وَأَلْوَانًا وَلَاصِقًا؛ لِتَصْنَعَ هَذِهِ الْمَقْلَمَةَ الْجَمِيلَةَ.
