وقيل لامرأة: إن فلانا قد هجاك، فقالت: ما قفا ولا لصا، أي لم يقذف.
And a woman was told: 'So-and-so has insulted you,' and she said: 'He neither 'qafa' nor 'lasa', meaning he did not slander.
يقال منه: رجل لاص مثل قاف.
From this, it is said: a man is 'lasin' like 'qafin'.
وفيه لغة أخرى: لصاه يلصاه؛ قال ابن سيده: وهي نادرة.
And there is another linguistic form: 'lasahu' 'yalsaahu'; Ibn Sidah said: and it is rare.
