Ibn Hisham said in Sharh al-Ka'biyyah: The origin of 'al-ghadaah' is 'ghudwah' with harakah, because they say for its plural 'ghaduwaat'.
والغدية، كغنية، عن ابن الأعرابي قال: هي لغة في الغدوة كضحية لغة في ضحوة
And 'al-ghadiyyah', like 'ghaniyyah', from Ibn al-A'rabi, who said: It is a dialectal form of 'al-ghudwah', like 'dahiyyah' is a dialectal form of 'dahwah'.
وهو جمع غدية على قول ابن الأعرابي، فإذا كان كذا فهو على القياس
And it is a plural of 'ghadiyyah' according to Ibn al-A'rabi, so if it is so, it is according to analogy.
ومنهم من قال: هو جمع غدوة، وقد أنكره ابن هشام في شرح الكعبية
And some of them said: It is a plural of 'ghudwah', and Ibn Hisham denied this in Sharh al-Ka'biyyah.
وقوله تعالى: بالغدو والآصال أي} بالغدوات فعبر بالفعل عن الوقت
And His saying: 'in the morning and the afternoons', meaning 'in the mornings', so the time is expressed by the verb.
قولهم: إني لآتيه بالغدايا والعشايا، هو لازدواج الكلام
Their saying: 'I indeed come to him in the mornings and the evenings', is for the parallelism of speech.

And among His sayings is: 'Their going forth is a month, and their returning is a month'.

غدا غدوا، من باب قعد، ذهب غدوة، هذا أصله، ثم كثر حتى استعمل في الذهاب والانطلاق أي وقت كان
'Ghada ghudwan', from the باب 'qa'ada', means to go in the morning, this is its origin, then it became common until it was used for going and proceeding at any time.
ومن الحديث: (واغد يا إبليس) أي انطلق
And from the Hadith: '(Go forth, O Iblis)' meaning proceed.

'Al-ghudwu' is the origin of 'al-ghad', which is the day that comes after your day, so its 'lam' was omitted and it was not used completely except in poetry.

'Al-ghadawiyy', like 'Arabi': everything in the wombs of camels and sheep, from Abu Ubaidah.

He was forbidden from 'al-ghadawi', which is everything in the wombs of pregnant animals. A man used to buy a camel, or a goat, or dirhams for what was in the wombs of pregnant animals, and it was uncertainty, so he was forbidden from it.

'Al-ghudaa', like 'hudaa': plural of 'ghudwah'.
الغدوة، بالفتح، المرة من الغدو، وهو سير أول النهار، ويقابلها الروحة
'Al-ghudwah', with fatha, is the instance of 'al-ghaduw', which is traveling in the early part of the day, and it is contrasted with 'al-rawhah' (traveling in the afternoon).
ويسمى السحور غداء لأنه للصائم بمنزلته للمفطر؛ ومنه تغدى في رمضان أي تسحر
And the pre-dawn meal is called 'ghadaa' because it is to the fasting person what the morning meal is to the one who breaks his fast; and from this is 'taghadda fi Ramadan', meaning he had the pre-dawn meal.
