The water rose, it rises, with 'tamyā' (open vowel), as it is vocalized in the book of Ibn al-Sikkit, and in al-Sihah and al-Muḥkam 'tamyā', like 'ʿatyā'; (it rose high).
وفي الصحاح: ارتفع وملأ النهر.

And al-Zamakhshari recited for himself: Indeed, fear of death has intensified within me, but the fear of what follows death is more intense.
