As for the Khalaawah of Kinda, among them is Malik bin Abdullah bin Saif Al-Khalaawi.

And Al-Khalaa': the place of ablution, named so because of its seclusion, and it is with a long 'alif'.

For Al-Khalaa' is originally a masdar (verbal noun) then it was used for the empty place taken for relieving oneself, not just for ablution as his statement 'the place of ablution' might suggest.
