Carrying my bucket, not carrying it, full of water like the eye of al-Mawlah.

Meaning, she yearned.
اتلهه النبيذ، كافتعله: أي ذهب بعقله
The wine made him atallah: meaning, it took away his reason.
ولهها الحزن والجزع توليها مثل أولهها.
Grief and distress made her grieve intensely, 'tawallihā' like 'awallahā'.

A mawlahah camel: whose young does not grow up, dying young.

And winds 'alah, by substitution, and from it is the saying of Al-Hudhali: So they stirred us up when they became distant from us, like clouds dispersed by the strong winds.
فإنه عنى الرياح لأنه يسمع لها حنين.
For he meant winds because their moaning is heard.
وله الصبي إلى أمه: نزع إليها.
The child yearned for his mother: he was drawn to her.

ولهت نفسي الطروب إليهم
My longing soul yearned for them.
ولها حال دون طعم الطعام
And longing prevented the taste of food.
قد صبحت حوض قرى بيوتا يلهن برد مائه سكوتا
They have morninged at the watering hole, houses that yearn for the coolness of its water, silent.
نسف العجوز الأقط الملتوتا
The old woman crumbled the kneaded curd.
يلهن أي يسرعن إليه وإلى شربه
'Yalhan' means they rush towards it and towards drinking it.
وله الواله إلى ولدها حنينا.
The grieving one yearned for her young with longing.

And At-Tawliyah: the separation between a woman and her child.
في البيع، وقد نهى عنه؛ وقد يكون بين الإخوة، وبين الرجل وولده.
In selling, and it has been forbidden; and it can occur between siblings, and between a man and his offspring.
وأولهت الناقة: فجعتها بولدها.
And the camel was bereaved of its young: it was struck with grief by the loss of its offspring.
