And a man is nabah and nabih: if he is noble and known.
كامل يجمع آلاء الفتى نبه سيد سادات خضم
Perfect, gathering the virtues of a young man, noble, a chief among abundant chiefs.
وقوم نبه، أيضا: أي بالتحريك، كالواحد، عن ابن الأعرابي، وكأنه اسم للجمع.

ونبه باسمه تنبيها: نوه به ورفعه عن الخمول وجعله مذكورا.

ورجل منبوه الاسم: أي معروفه
