مَزَنَ (القربة) مَزْنًا: ملأها، كمَزَنَها تمزينا

And al-mizn, with damma: clouds in general; or its white ones, or clouds with water; and it was said: it is the luminous one, a piece: miznah.
يقال: ما زال مزنك هكذا؛ وهو على مزن واحد؛ وليس بتصحيف مرن
It is said: Your habit has remained thus; and he is on one habit; and it is not a misspelling of 'maran'.
والمازن، كصاحب: بيض النمل؛ عن ابن دريد
And al-mazin, like sahib: the eggs of ants; according to Ibn Duraid.
مازن: أبو قبيلة من تميم، هو مازن بن مالك بن عمرو بن تميم
Mazin: the father of a tribe from Tamim, he is Mazin bin Malik bin Amr bin Tamim.
والمزنة، بالضم: المطرة؛ قال أوس بن حجر: ألم تر أن الله أنزل مزنة وعفر الظباء في الكناس تقمع؟
And al-muznah, with damma: a rainfall; Aws bin Hajar said: Did you not see that Allah sent down a rainfall, and the gazelles in their lairs are subdued?
وابن مزنة، بالضم: الهلال يخرج من خلال السحاب، حكي ذلك عن ثعلب
And Ibn Muznah, with damma: the crescent moon that emerges through the clouds, this was narrated from Tha'lab.

فأما الأزد أزد أبي سعيد فأكره أن أسميها المزون
As for the Azd, the Azd of Abi Sa'id, I dislike naming them Al-Muzun.
وأطفأت نيران المزون وأهلها وقد حاولوها فتنة أن تسعرا
And I extinguished the fires of Al-Muzun and its people, though they tried to incite sedition to set them ablaze.
مزونيا بفقحته الصليبفأصبح قافلا كرم ومجد وأصبح قادما كذب وحوب
A Muzunian with the hardness of the cross; he returned with nobility and glory, and he arrived with lies and sin.
مزينة، كجهينة: قبيلة، من مضر، وهو ابن أد بن طابخة
Muzaynah, like Juhaynah: a tribe, from Mudar, and he is the son of Ad bin Tabkhah.
وهذا يوم مزن، بالفتح: أي يوم فرار من العدو
And this is a day of mazn, with fatha: meaning a day of fleeing from the enemy.
مزن في الأرض مزنة واحدة: أي سار عقبة واحدة
He went in the land one maznah: meaning he traveled one stage.
وما أحسن مزنته: وهو الاسم مثل الحسوة والحسوة

And Mazin bin Khilawah bin Tha'labah bin Huzamah bin Tatim: the grandfather of Zuhayr bin Abi Sulma, and he may be attributed to him, so he is called Al-Mazini.

And the correct reading is from the Banu Muzaynah, so there was confusion between Mazin and Muzaynah.
