When he disappeared in it, I raised my voice calling: O avengers of Hussein! And my servant called: O horses of my Lord, advance! And rejoice in the two gardens! And he startled him, we dared and he crouched, and I had wounded him with my father Lubayn.
قال الليث: هو خلاص الجسد ومستخلصه من بين الفرث والدم، وهو كالعرق يجري في العروق، والجمع ألبان، والطائفة القليلة منه لبنة؛
Al-Layth said: It is the essence and extract of the body from between the dung and blood, and it is like a vein running in the veins, and the plural is 'alban', and a small portion of it is 'labanah'.
ومنه الحديث: در لبنة القاسم فذكرته؛ وفي رواية: لبينة القاسم؛
And from it is the Hadith: The milk of Al-Qasim was drawn, and it reminded him; and in another narration: The small amount of milk of Al-Qasim.
وأهل اللبن: هم أهل البادية يطلبون مواضع اللبن في المراعي والمبادي.
And the people of milk: they are the people of the desert who seek out places of milk in pastures and beginnings.
والملبون: الجمل السمين الكثير اللحم.
And the mulabban: the fat camel with abundant meat.
وقال ثعلب: الملبن، كمنبر: المحمل؛ قال: وكانت المحامل مربعة فغيرها الحجاج لينام فيها ويتسع، وكانت العرب تسميها المحمل والملبن والسابل.
And Tha'lab said: Al-Milban, like 'minbar': the litter; he said: And the litters were square, and the pilgrims changed them so that one could sleep in them and have space, and the Arabs used to call them the litter, the milban, and the sabal.
وبه فسر الحديث السابق.
And with this, the previous Hadith was interpreted.
واللبن: وجع العنق من وسادة وغيرها حتى لا يقدر أن تلتفت، وقد لبن، بالكسر، فهو لبن، عن الفراء.
And 'al-laban': neck pain from a pillow or other cause, to the extent that one cannot turn, and he has 'labina', with kasr, so he is 'labin', according to Al-Farra'.
وظلوا يرتمون ببنات لبون: إذا ارتموا بصخر عظام، وهو مجاز كما في الأساس.
And they kept throwing 'banat labun' at each other: meaning they threw large stones, and this is a metaphor as in Al-Asas.
واللبان: من يبيع اللبن ويعمله؛
And Al-Labban: one who sells and makes milk products;
وكان يشرب اللبن، ولا يأكل الخبز، حدث عن أبي الفضل الأرموي.
And he used to drink milk and not eat bread; he narrated from Abu Al-Fadl Al-Armawi.
وسويقة اللبن: محلة بمصر بالقرب من بركة جناق.
And Suwayqat Al-Laban: a district in Egypt near Barakat Jinnaq.
