And Al-Jawhari also erred in attributing the master of the Followers, the hermit of this nation, Uwais al-Qarani, to it, meaning to that place, and his text in Al-Sihah is: And Al-Qarn: a place and it is the miqat of the people of Najd, and from it is Uwais al-Qarani.

Because he is only attributed to Qarn bin Radman bin Najiyah bin Murad, one of his ancestors, correctly; this was stated by Ibn Al-Kalbi, Ibn Habib, Al-Hamdani, and other lineage scholars; and he is Uwais bin Juz' bin Malik bin Amr bin Sa'd bin Amr bin Imran bin Qarn, as in Ibn Al-Kalbi; and according to Al-Hamdani: Sa'd bin Amr bin Hawran bin Asran bin Qarn.

And it was said: his two horns, the dual of horn, and in some versions: his followers, those who follow his opinion.
And in Al-Nihayah: between his two horns, meaning his first and last two nations, meaning his two gatherings that he incites to misguide mankind.
Or his horn: his strength and spread, or his dominion, meaning when it rises, Satan becomes active and gains power as if assisting it. All of this is a metaphor for one who prostrates to the sun at its rising, as if Satan tempted him to do so, and when he prostrates to it, it is as if Satan is joined with it.
