وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْفَرَيَانِيُّ، بِضَمٍّ وَتَشْدِيدِ الرَّاءِ، اللَّخْمِيُّ التُّونِسِيُّ حَدَّثَ، مَاتَ رَاجِعًا مِنَ الْحَجِّ سَنَةَ 812، رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى؛
And Abd Allah ibn Ahmad ibn Abd Allah al-Fariyanī, with dammah and shadda on the ra, al-Lakhmi al-Tunisi narrated, he died returning from Hajj in the year 812, may God have mercy on him;
وَابْنُ عَمِّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَانِ الْفَرَيَانِيُّ سَمِعَ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْبَطْرَنِيِّ بِتُونِسَ، مَوْلِدُهُ سَنَةَ 780، وَكَثِيرًا مَا يُطْلِقُ الْأَخْيَارُ فِي الْإِجَازَةِ الْعَامَّةِ وَالْخَاصَّةِ؛ قَالَهُ الْحَافِظُ.
And his cousin Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Fariyanī heard from Abu al-Hasan al-Batrani in Tunis, his birth was in the year 780, and often the scholars grant general and specific permissions; said Al-Hafiz.
وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ فَرْنٍ، بِالْفَتْحِ، يُعْرَفُ بِأَخِي أَرْعَلَ، كَانَ بِدِمَشْقَ بَعْدَ الثَّلَاثِمِائَةِ، وَهُوَ غَيْرُ الَّذِي ذَكَرَهُ الْمُصَنِّفُ، رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى.
And Muhammad ibn Abd Allah ibn Farn, with fatha, known as the brother of Ar'al, he was in Damascus after the year 300, and he is different from the one mentioned by the author, may God have mercy on him.
