And Abu al-Ghusn: Dujayn bin Thabit bin Dujayn, and not Juha as al-Jawhari mistakenly thought, or it is his kunya.
وأغصن العنقود وغصن، بالتشديد: كثر، وفي بعض الأصول: كبر، حبه شيئا، وهو الصواب.
And the grape cluster became abundant (aghsana) and branched (ghassana), with shadda: it became abundant, and in some manuscripts: it became large, its berries somewhat, and this is the correct reading.
وثوب أغصن: في ذنبه بياض.
And a garment (thawb) aghsan: it has whiteness on its tail.

And Ghusn, with damma and like Zubayr: two names.
قال ابن دريد: وأحسب أن بني غصين بطن.
Ibn Duraid said: And I believe that the Banu Ghusayn are a clan.
