And when it dried, you saw the mud thin on the surface of the earth, cracked, and the poet stressed its noon out of necessity, saying: I cracked like the cracking of Al-Ghureyn when they drew near me.
طائر؛ قيل: هو ذكر الغربان، أو ذكر العقاعق، أو العقاب؛ عن أبي حاتم في كتاب الطير؛ أو شبهها.
A bird; it was said: it is the male of the crows, or the male of the kites, or the eagle; from Abu Hatim in the Book of Birds; or a bird resembling them.
وقال ابن بري: ذكر العقبان؛ قال الراجز: لقد عجبت من سهوم وغرن
