And it was said: 'zakantu' about the matter and 'azkantu' it: I approached imagining it and thinking it.

وقال اليزيدي: زكنت بفلان كذا وأزكنت: أي ظننت

And Al-Yazidi said: 'zakantu' about so-and-so and 'azkantu': meaning 'I thought'.

وقال ابن الأعرابي: زكن الشيء: علمه وأزكنه ظنه

And Ibn Al-A'rabi said: 'zakana' the thing: to know it, and 'azkanahu' his thought: to guess it.

وقيل: الزكن: التفرس والظن

And it was said: 'al-zukun': intuition and guessing.

وأزكنه: أعلمه وأفهمه حتى زكنه

And 'azkanahu': to inform him and make him understand until he knew him.

ولن يراجع قلبي ودهم أبداً زكنت منهم على مثل الذي زكنواعداه بعلى لأن فيه معنى اطلعت كأنه قال: اطلعت منهم على مثل الذي اطلعوا عليه مني

زكنت منه مثل الذي زكن مني، أي ظن
