Parallel reading

And he is (the grandfather of Yahya bin al-Fadl al-Mawsili).
This is how Al-Dhahabi vocalized it, and before him Al-Amir, and Al-Hafiz followed them.
Al-Dhahabi said, may God have mercy on him: Yahya bin al-Fadl bin Hajashanah narrated from Ayyub bin Suwayd, and from him Ibn Jawsa narrated alone.
Al-Hafiz said: And his claim that Ibn Jawsa narrated from him is nothing,
Rather, his son Abd al-Jabbar bin Yahya narrated from him,
And Abu Bakr bin Abi Dawud and Ahmad bin Umayr bin Jawsa narrated from Abd al-Jabbar,
This is how it is with Ibn Nuqtah, so ponder that.
