وَقِيلَ: جَارِيَةٌ مُكَلْثَمَةٌ: حَسَنَةٌ دَائِرَةُ الْوَجْهِ

And it was said: a mukalthamah girl: one with a beautiful, round face.

وَقِيلَ: وَجْهٌ مُكَلْثَمٌ: مُسْتَدِيرٌ كَثِيرُ لَحْمِ الْوَجْهِ

And it was said: a mukaltham face: rounded and with much flesh on the face.

وَهُوَ الْمُتَقَارِبُ الْجَعْدُ الْمُدَوَّرُ

وَقِيلَ: هُوَ نَحْوُ الْجَهْمِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ أَضْيَقُ مِنْهُ وَأَمْلَحُ

And it was said: it is similar to al-jahm (grim), except that it is narrower and more pleasing.

قَالَ شَمِرٌ: الْمُكَلْثَمُ مِنَ الْوُجُوهِ: الْقَصِيرُ الْحَنَكِ النَّاتِئُ الْجَبْهَةِ الْمُسْتَدِيرُ الْوَجْهِ

Shamir said: Al-mukaltham among faces is: short-jawed, prominent-foreheaded, and round-faced.

زَادَ فِي النِّهَايَةِ: مَعَ خِفَّةِ اللَّحْمِ

He added in Al-Nihāyah: with lightness of flesh.

وَأَخْلَافٌ مُكَلْثَمَةٌ: غَلِيظَةٌ عَظِيمَةٌ

And mukalthamah breasts: thick and large.
