وقد سلمته الحية أي: لدغته
And the snake stung him, meaning: it bit him.
والسلم (بالكسر: المسالم)

وبه فسر قوله تعالى: {ورجلا سلما لرجل} أي: مسالما على قراءة من قرأ بالكسر
And by this is interpreted the saying of God Almighty: {and a man peaceful to a man}, meaning: making peace, according to the reading of whoever reads with a kasra.
