And it is bad for hemorrhoids, dysentery, pigs, consumptives, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and headaches.

وإصلاحه سلقه بماء وملح وتطجينه بدهن لوز، وإتباعه بمص رمانة مزة

Its correction is to boil it in water and salt, sauté it in almond oil, and follow it with sucking a sour pomegranate.

والثومة: قبيعة السيف، على التشبيه لأنها على شكلها

يقال: عندي سيف! ثومته فضة

It is said: I have a sword! its pommel is silver.
