قال الأزهري: وقيل له كهل حينئذ لانتهاء شبابه، وكمال قوته.

Al-Azhari said: And he is called a kahil at that time due to the end of his youth and the completion of his strength.

رجل كهل، وامرأة كهلة: انتهى شبابهما، وذلك عند استكمالهما ثلاثا وثلاثين سنة

A middle-aged man, and a middle-aged woman: their youth has ended, and that is when they complete thirty-three years.

اكتهل الرجل: صار كهلا
