And the ḍāl: is another tree of the 'duqq' type, found in the edges of Yemen, rising about a cubit, growing like a cypress, and it has a very strong, intelligent yellow bloom, its scent reaches you before you arrive at it.

وأضال المكان، وأضيل: أنبته، نقله أبو حنيفة عن الفراء

And 'aḍāla the place, and 'aḍīla: meant planting it (the ḍāl tree), Abu Hanifa transmitted this from Al-Farra'.

والضَّالة: السلاح أجمع، على الاتساع، يقال: إنه لكامل الضالة
