إذا مات الفرزدق فارجموه كما ترمون قبر أبي رغال

وكان عشارا جائرا، فقبره بين مكة والطائف يرجم إلى اليوم
And he was an unjust tax collector, and his grave is between Mecca and Ta'if, and it is stoned to this day.
وأنه أتى قوما ليس لهم لبن إلا شاة واحدة، ولهم صبي قد ماتت أمه، فهم يعاجونه بلبن تلك الشاة، يعني يغذونه، فأبى أن يأخذ غيرها
And he came to a people who had no milk except from one ewe, and they had a child whose mother had died, so they were treating him with the milk of that ewe, meaning nourishing him, but he refused to take anything else.
فقالوا: دعها نحايي بها هذا الصبي، فأبى
So they said: 'Leave it for us to give to this child', but he refused.
فلعنه، فقبره بين مكة والطائف، يرجمه الناس
So he cursed him, and his grave is between Mecca and Ta'if, and people stone it.
وابنا رغال، كسحاب: جبلان قرب ضرية
And 'Ibnan Rigal', like 'sahāb': two mountains near Dhariyyah.
