وجواز إعجام داله لا أصل له، وإن ذكره جماعة من المؤرخين وشراح الشفاء وغيرهم.
And the permissibility of dotting its 'dal' (making it 'd') has no basis, even though a group of historians and commentators of Al-Shifa and others mentioned it.
وقيل: معناه: الحكم لله.
And it was said: its meaning is: Judgment belongs to God.
وأنشدنا: (إذا كان الوزير أبا الجمال ... ومحتسب العراق الدانيالي)
And he recited to us: (If the minister is Abu Al-Jamal... and the inspector of Iraq is the Daniali)
(فلا تتعجبن فعن قليل ... ترى الأيام في صور الليالي)
(Then do not be surprised, for soon... you will see the days in the forms of nights)
