وقيل: الذي أنذر كان قبطيا، وكان اسمه خربيل.
And it was said: the one who warned was a Copt, and his name was Kharbil.
وقرأت في التبصير للحافظ: مؤمن آل فرعون اسمه شمعان، هكذا سماه شعيب الجبائي، فيما رواه أحمد بن حنبل بسنده، فتأمل.
And I read in Al-Hafiz's Al-Tabsir: the believer in Pharaoh's household was named Shim'an, thus named by Shu'ayb al-Jubba'i, as narrated by Ahmad ibn Hanbal with his chain of narration, so ponder.
قال الليث: الخربيل: المرأة الحمقاء، أو هي العجوز المتهدمة، ج: خرابيل
Al-Layth said: Al-Kharbil: the foolish woman, or she is the dilapidated old woman, plural: kharabīl.
وقد تقدم مثل ذلك في ح ز ب ل وهو تصحيف.
