'Tha'al' like 'ghurab': a gorge from a mountain between Al-Rauhaa and Al-Ruwaythah, and it is also called 'tha'alah'.
الثعل كقفل: ع بنجد عن ابن دريد، وقال غيره: قرب السجا
'Al-th'a'l' like 'qufl': a water source in Najd, from Ibn Duraid, and others said: near Al-Saja.
قال ابن عباد: الثعل: دويبة صغيرة تظهر في السقاء إذا خبثت ريحه

قال ابن عباد: الثعلول: الشاة يمكن أن تحلب من ثلاثة أمكنة أو أربعة للزيادة في الطبي
Ibn 'Abbad said: 'Al-th'alul': a sheep from which one can milk from three or four places due to an increase in the teats.
يقال للرجل في السب: هذا الثعل والكعل: أي لئيم ليس بشيء
It is said to a man in insult: 'This is 'al-th'a'l wa al-ka'l': meaning base and worthless.
وطعنة ثعول: منتشرة الدم
And a 'th'uul' stab: with spreading blood.
وجيش ثعول: كثير
And a 'th'uul' army: numerous.
والمثعل: المنتشر، وجاء القوم مثعلين: أي اتصل بعضهم ببعض
