Parallel reading

Shambak, like Ja'far, was neglected by the community, and he is: the father of Abdullah, and the grandfather of the latter al-Dinawari, who narrated from al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Darakī.
And also: the grandfather of Abdullah ibn Ahmad al-Nihawandi: the traditionists, thus in all copies. The correct reading in this context is Shambak: the grandfather of Uthman ibn Ahmad al-Dinawari and the grandfather of Abdullah ibn Ahmad al-Nihawandi the traditionists, as is the text of the two Hafizes al-Dhahabi and Ibn Hajar. And his statement: 'father of Abdullah' is a mistake, and perhaps he saw in some books 'Abdullah ibn Shambak narrated to us,' who is al-Nihawandi himself. He only attributed him to his grandfather, so the author thought him to be a third person, whereas they are only two, so ponder.
And among what is to be added: al-Qutb Abu Abdullah Muhammad ibn Shambak al-Shambaki: one of the shaykhs of Mansur al-Batta'ihi, who took from Abu Bakr ibn Hawar al-Batta'ihi.
And among those attributed to him likewise is Shaykh Kamal al-Din Yunus ibn al-Taj Muhammad ibn al-Izz Nasr al-Shambaki al-Huwayzi, one of the shaykhs of Abu al-Futuḥ al-Ṭāwūsī.
