It is said: He died before Tāwūs. And Shu'bah heard from Muslim ibn Yunāq, but did not hear from his son al-Hasan, because al-Hasan died before his father.
وقال في ترجمة مسلم: هو ابن يناق والد الحسن، من أهل مكة، يروى عن ابن عمر، وعنه شعبة بن الحجاج.
And he said in the biography of Muslim: He is the son of Yunāq, the father of al-Hasan, from the people of Mecca, narrating from Ibn Umar, and Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjāj narrated from him.
