وإذا هبت الريح فلقت تلك السنفة، وهي معلقة بالشجر بعلائق دقاق، فتخشخشت، فسمعت للوادي الذي يكون به زجلا ولجة تفزع الإبل.
And when the wind blows, that pod splits open, while it is hanging on the tree by thin stalks, and it rattles, and the valley where it is located makes a rustling sound and a noise that frightens camels.
ولا تأوي الحيات بوادي العشرق، تهرب من زجله.
And snakes do not dwell in the valley of the 'ashraq', they flee from its rustling.
وحبه أبيض طيب هش دسم حار نافع للبواسير، زاد غيره: وتوليد اللبن، وورقه مثل ورق العظلم شديد الخضرة يسود الشعر وينبته إذا امتشط به.
And its seeds are white, pleasant, brittle, oily, hot, beneficial for hemorrhoids, others added: and for milk production, and its leaves are like the leaves of the 'azlam', intensely green, they darken the hair and promote its growth if one combs their hair with it.
